    Firm Hammock Material

I wanting to try something different, I've been having some back problems and I'm looking for the widest firmest fabric available. I currently have a blackbird xlc its the heavier fabric single layer, a dream hammock T-bird in single layer 1.7 hyper D That I love the feel of... I'm just wanting a simple gathered end single layer hammock that is very firm. I also weigh around 240, What fabric do you'll recommend? Thanks for the help

Dream hammock can make you an 11' single layer free bird in 1.6oz HyperD-XL for $60. I believe that's their bare-bones model

Word has it that Dutch might have some extra wide hexon "soon"...you might check this out when it's released.

Very true. Didn't notice the wide request in addition to firm. Hex70 from rsbtr would fit that bill as well

Sadly, not really. I think the Hexon 2.2 is softer than the hex70 ,but neither are as silky as hyper d. Hexon is a more cotton soft which i love, and hex70 feels not bad, but not especially great.

I made hammock from some ACU camo taslan nylon I found at wallymart a few years ago. The hammock was for a kid who plays defensive tackle on the Montana University football team. Material is about 1.9 and there's little or no give in it. This kid is about 6'2" and 220#. No fat on him.
Haven't seen that fabric around there anymore, but DIY Gear Supply may have some.

Kyle is a good guy, I don't think it is that he "won't" answer you, most likely that he hasn't yet. He is very busy, and also the forum isn't the main line to contact his business. Try giving him a call or sending him an email. You can check out people's experience with that material on the introduction thread. I imagine it is something similar to hexon 1.0, but I am not sure.
