I am not a very weight conscience person so I always try to plan a good meal for dinner the first night of any trip. Last time I went it was steak. Also helps that I primarily hike/camp in the colder months.

Pocket Bellows - This thing is a MUST have in my fire kit. REALLY works well to get a fire going. Even hard to light/wet tinder. So simple and light. Big results.
Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Sol - I cut mine in half so I have two mini pads and the uses are numerous. Many have been discussed; floor mat, seat, sleeping pad, etc. I have bad knees and I use it ALL THE TIME as a kneeling pad when I am doing work near the ground. I drilled two holes in each side so I can always tie it back together if I need a full length pad for sleeping.
Black Diamond Voyager Lantern - Always have it with me. Love the two way light feature. When its hung on a RL you can have it be main light and light up camp or just turn on the bottom light to light up the ground/path/trail and save your night vision. Its an awesome lantern.
Backcountry Access B-1 Shovel - Havent seen many winter items mentioned but this shovel is awesome. Gotta have it when I snow/winter camp. Light and effective.
“The word hammockable (Meaning: two trees that are the perfect distance apart between which a hammock can be hung) is not in the dictionary, but it should be.”
Burg, thank you for a detailed and knowledgeable post!! I needed a shovel andni still gotta get a chair, i guess itll be a helinox (likely knockoff) type, bu tim working towards a shovel/trowel and im fighting between the cold steel wooden handled shovel (A+ according to reviews), the tent lab duece of spades, or a good horihori. I never considered winter usage!

I've come to realize that I need to bring some wet wipes for those multi-day excursions. After a couple days, I start feeling a bit less than fresh.

I always bring a small flashlight (for sevens quark mini). It's awesome when you need to look around in your hammock or have to get up at night. I also bring a little tree table to cook off of so I'm not always bending over or have to sit on the ground
The path you choose in life. Should lead straight to a Hammock!
A sponge. Weighs almost nothing and a sponge bath will get you surprisingly clean.

A small spray bottle to wash my hair.... (1 part cornstarch, 1 part rubbing alcohol, and 4 parts water) why i dont' know... but i like the feeling of clean hair even if i'm going to put it under a hat or buff. PLus for a late 30s guy i have a full head of gorgeous hair... Eh i'm vain somedays!
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”
