I searched the forum and found posts about needle holes and down coming out and needles holes and sealing for waterproofness in tarps but was wondering about hammocks. I have seen some posts where some hammock failures were attributed to holes.
Anyway, I made a new bridge and don't have any stitches (this time) that wandered below the webbing, but I did stitch it close to the bottom and can see some needles holes, not many but still there.
Wondering how concerned I should be? I think they're fine but if I need to be more proactive, I would like to before issue. It is ripstop nylon but I guess that doesn't mean it's impervious.
I suppose my options are:
- Keep and eye on them and see if they worsen.
- Make another fold in the webbing and restitch - smaller needle and longer stitch length.
- Not sure if sealer would actually strengthen.
Thanks for any help.
