Sweet. I think I may be getting another light-weight summer hammock.
I am a 28 year-old trapped in a 62 year-old body!
6'3", 174lbs
We heard it was gonna rain, we came anyway...
Thanks! I'm 6'1'' so I think I'll have mine made a couple inches shorter.
Just got mine in yesterday. It's so comfortable, I can't believe it. I didn't think I could love hammocks anymore than I already did, but now I do.
I sleep in a hammock every night, so I really wanted something comfy. I had a Grand Trunk Nano 7 before this. Going from a 9'x4' to a 10'x5' makes a HUGE difference. The 1.0 robic feels great. The underquilt hooks work like a charm. Construction is top notch, as are the materials (and PapaSmurf's customer service).
Several hundred points out of 10!
Seriously, as someone with a sleeping disorder, a good night's rest makes a difference in my quality of life. Thank you so much, PapaSmurf.
Hang the good hang.
I just ordered one of these in the 1oz Robic charcoal gray with blue accents! This will be my lightweight spring/summer hammock. It might not be much of a weight difference but is the bug netting .5oz like Papa has listed in this post or .9oz as its listed on the website. This is my second Dream Hammock so I already know the wait is definitely worth it!
Thanks howlinmadman,
Our regular noseeum netting is the .9oz stuff, which we've been pretty happy with. The .5oz noseeum is available (on the Darien only) for $15 by special order. Just contact me if you'd like to add it. The weight difference between the 2 noseeum fabrics would be about .95oz on an 11ft model. Along with the price and weight difference, there would also be a durability consideration with going to the lighter weight netting.
