    Merchant's Millpond Frosty Butt Hang

Having a great time. We had a surprise visit from OBXH2O, and just finished dinner which was a nice sinuse clearing chili made by sandman. Now it is time for the festivities to begin.

Wish I could have made this hang. There would have been pumpkin pie.

Been home for about an hour and a half now. Car is mostly unpacked going to get some dinner with Sarah and then back to laundry. As always I had a great time, it was fun catching up with some old friends and making new friends. I hope everyone loved the prime rib and as I would be more then happy to make it at the next WINTER hang.

Got home from the hang and unpacked wife's car and then took a nap.

Lows Thursday night were 25, Friday night were 37 and Saturday were 47, Not much of a true frosty butt hang but at least we did get one cold night. I did find some ice on the outside of my bug net Friday AM. The Killer Monkey Owls were fairly quiet until 5:30 am Sunday when they decided to let loose. The rest of the time the Mutant Zombie Tree Frogs were keeping us awake.

We had two new hangers join us for their first group hang and we had some visitors come by to learn about hammocks.

    Attending:

    Gunner76
    Pappy Amos
    Meckie
    Sandman
    Cass52
    The Terminator
    Starfish Comet
    Irongator
    Tacoma95
    Timberlake
B-rizzle plus wife ( first group hang )

We had plenty of fire wood so staying warm was not a problem. Sandman showed us an interesting way to cook ( and burn ) a pizza and make some bread. Meckie made some DO prime rib which was excellent. Sandmans chillie definitely opened up my sinuses big time, B-rizze and wife made some excellent white chicken chilie. Tacoma brought a grab bag of twinkies and other goodies and the best part was I got to take what was left home and I have some Zingers in front of me right now.

As mentioned OBXH20 stopped by to visit even though he could not hang with us as he just got out of the hospital from having his gall bladder removed. So even though he did not hang with us this this time he has been at every hang here.

B-rizzle and his wife went for a long hike while Sandman, Tacoma, Irongator and myself did a much shorter 2+ mile hike.

PappyAmos showed off his just completed jumbo tarp setup that allowed one to stand upright inside and went all the way to the ground. He even had a floor of astro truf carpet.. While a nice setup it is not something you want to hike with.

Meckie announced that he is engage to be married ( date not set ).
