The orange overcover is intended to dual purpose as a signaling device. Here in GA probably won't use it very often for warmth, but wanted the option. And I just like green and purple.

I just ordered mine as well- I'm 3167. Can't wait- six weeks feels like a LONG time! I have a lengthy camping trip planned in about 8 weeks so I should hopefully get it just in time to at least practice setting it up, and maybe time for a quick overnighter. I have a bridge hammock, but the lay is so flat that I have issues with hip pain the same as I do in a bed, so gathered end is really the way to go for me (I sleep nightly in a Trek Light but am considering a Free Bird to replace it- I'm hooked!).

    Here are my hammock stats:

    Sparrow
    Net-Overcover
    Length: 10ft
    Layers: Double
    Outside: 2.2oz Hex70-XL Charcoal Gray
Inside: 1.6oz HyperD Robin Egg Blue
    Overcover 1.6oz HyperD Charcoal Gray
    Asym Lay: Left
    Continuous Loop: Head-Blue Foot-Silver
    Tree Straps: 15ft
    UQ Hooks
    Tie Out Hooks
    Gear Loops: Both Ends Lash-It
    Ridgeline Organizer
    Ridgeline Gun Pocket
    Beverage Pocket
    Zipper Top Pocket
    Open Top Pocket
    Peak Shelf
    Pink: Zipper Hoods
    Pink: Grosgrain Loops
    Pink: Zipper Pulls
    Pink: Top Stitching

Can't wait! I should probably have ordered earlier given my trip deadline, but I agonized for weeks over colors, over left/right lay (I sleep both ways), and over Dangerbird vs Sparrow. I actually reviewed the colors on every single hammock on the "Recent Photos" page, and was Photoshopping my own color combinations to see how they looked together. I'm pretty psyched about the gray and robin's egg with pink accents. I loved the pink, but thought it might be too overwhelming for the whole interior or whole exterior, not to mention that I feel safer when camping by myself in the woods when my camp set-up is not immediately identifiable as belonging to a woman. I debated even about the pink accents, but in the end I couldn't resist, and things should be covered from the outside by my tarp anyway, plus the underquilt and underquilt protector.

Hey kitty, you didn't leave many options untouched.
    This one is fully rigged.
    : )
Sounds like a beauty and for sure will be a fun one to make for the Smurfs.

Thanks! Yeah, I definitely went for fully-loaded! What can I say, I love my pockets, and I love all the other options they give!

    Kitty,

My Sparrow just got shipped today (#3008) and I want to point out a couple of things you may or may not be aware of. The Peak Shelf is for one end only. Since there is not a designated "Head" and "Foot" end, I ordered two of these (one on each end) so I can sleep at either end while it is set up. I also got my stuff sack in two colors (Black on the bottom and Yellow on top). There isn't really an option to pick when ordering (I saw it on someone else's order and asked if I could do the same thing). They did this for me at no extra charge.

    Hope this helps.
    I am a 28 year-old trapped in a 62 year-old body!

I just discovered the ROBIC Fabric. I'm thinking about having PapaSmurf change mine to 65" wide 1.0 HunterGreen ROBIC XL. I'm a ways down on the list, hopefully won't be a problem.
