    Drip Lines

I'm still new to hammocks and have a question regarding drip lines/water breaks. Is it ok to use Zing-It cord for my drip lines or should it be a thicker line such as paracord? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Many folks have great success with just a cotton shoelace.
Look up before you hook up!!

I was wondering about this as well. I have a Warbonnet Ridgerunner with the straps and was wondering if I needed one or do the buckles do this for me?

+1 for the cotton shoe lace.. Cotton absorbs water as opposed to zing-it and the like. Gravity does the rest. Strips of t-shirt material works fine too. But shoelaces can also be used for many other things as well and thereby earn their keep.

You would be just fine using zing it. I have loops of 1.2mm techline on my suspension as drip lines and they work well. Though, being in Colorado we don't often have prolonged (like multiple hours) bouts of heavy rain.

I use a thin ribbon of Shamwow. Works great.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!
