Y'all have to promise to be nice to Tammy & Wanda so they'll come back. I'd like to meet them and have more female representation. Homemade pound cake? Yum! And the waterfalls will probably be roaring!! Please take lots of pictures and good notes- I might head there the next weekend, just because I'm so jealous.
If anybody has a discussion about bug nets, pretend I'm there.- that's my next purchase and I was hoping to get some face time research/q&a before my plans got hijacked.

Gah... I am now in the "tentative" column for being able to make it...

I was pretty sick last week with an upper respiratory bug... My wife has begun to show symptoms. If she is out for the count, I'll be staying home so she won't have to deal with parenting/adulting while she is sick.
She says that I don't need to stay home if she is sick, but I'm not going to put her through that if I can help it. I was miserable with it and the last thing I wanted to do was deal with adulting.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

I feel your pain. That was my household a month ago. Two of us got it, and a week later the other two came down with it. Really hoping she feels better soon. If not, you are certainly doing the right thing staying home and taking care of your family.

Yeah, I don't know what this sickness is... It isn't allergies though. It acts like a cold/strep kind of thing. I'm still, 1 week later, dealing with congestion. For me that is crazy. I am usually over stuff and cleared up within 72 hours at the most. My immune system is like fort knox. The good news is that my wife said she is feeling better this morning.. so my chances of making it are getting better!

I'm going to gather all of my gear together this evening. If all is well, I am going to try to knock off work about 1 hour early tomorrow to get out there. Coming from Huntsville, it looks like a bout an hour and 1/2 drive or so.

With us it was two things: flu (virus) and mycoplasma (bacteria that causes bronchitis and pneumonia). Two of us had both, one had only flu, I had only Myco. After starting antibiotic, I felt better in a day. Seems like we had an outbreak of myco in my area. The doctor said some folks couldn't seem to shake it either, after the initial infection, they were relapsing. Guess they didn't finish their antibiotics! I never get the flu! Used to get it every season change as a child-guess I've built up a good immunity to all strains.
