My new TQ/UG set from Loco Libre

Received these a week or so ago and haven't had time to post.

20 Degree Ghost Pepper and matching Habanero. 850 no taper, wide and long because I like to flop and do not do mummies.

I was in the cue when George announced his foot box design improvement. I assumed because I already paid that my TQ would be made using his original design. To my surprise, in spite of the additional manufacturing time, George just automatically included it. That says a lot about his passion for providing the best product possible.

Thank you, George. Your workmanship is incredible !

How long did it take from order to receiving them?

Id give you the time but it was not the norm for a number of reasons. First, I ordered my TQ on the last day of Loco's Not Balck Friday sale. Second, about 2 weeks later, I added the UQ to my current order. Then, if you want to see what kind of person George is......

I received an email from him. Said mine were up to be made. He then asked me if he could take a few days off to grab a hang. Said if I couldn't live without my stuff, he'd knock them out and not go !

What kind of business owner asks a customer if he can wait few extra days so the owner can go on vacation? I told him he was an idiot if he didn't go, and that I would not die to wait a few more days.

Anyway, when my stuff arrived, I received down pillow as a thank you gift. It too is sexy !

I do know that George regularly changes his wait time on his site. Probably best to check there or even email him and ask.

George can describe it better than I can. I think he did a post on it. Let me see if I can find the link.

We are just about back on track to be 5 weeks out. I have to thank everyone who was patient, as that wait got to be a bit longer. I've been doing some long days hoping at some point to get down to about three weeks.

The new "Hot Box" is an added chamber at the end that makes up the last baffle, and is top to bottom down, from 2 to 3" thick depending on the temperature of the quilt. This makes a barrier that laughs at the cold. Here's a link: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...rano-topquilts

I take it that mine was early enough to have the orignal footbox not the improved one?
Well that new one must be pretty awesome because I took my 0* Ghost Pepper combined with a 0* Incubator and a 2QZQ UQ protector down to -24 as the "real feel". First time I've done that cold without the Smokehouse or a tarp. Glad I went with a Ghost Pepper for sure!
