Hey hangers, just wanted to introduce myself to the community. Goose is the name, friends call me goose anyway, or goose fraba, or goose shatner, or jus fraba etc. A man of many names i suppose. Found out about hammock forums after watching quite a few videos from the ever amusing highly informative and endlessly comical Shug and figured id sign up! I havent hoofed it with a pack on my back for almost a decade, ever since the good ole marine corps. After they spit me out somewhere in southern california i tramped around the western coast for a while sleeping in tents or couches of kind souls, then made my way back to the heart of it all and spent a few years traveling with some of my friends from the church of jerry garcia(ahhhh hippies, gota love em) to festivals all across the state all the while sleeping in tents. Finally i tried out a hammock, my little eno single and never slept on the ground again. Now that ive found hammocks im lookin into gettin back into the outdooors again (but with less patchouli and long hair) so ive been gettin ready readin up as much as i can, trainin every week for my first overnighter i plan to take here in just two months. Cant say how excited i am to find such an awsome community of like minded souls to share knowledge with! Heres to hanging!
