Review of various Dutch Gear on my Warbonnet Superfly Tarp
Hey Guys,
I just wanted to pile on with the Dutch Love, he really should make a T-shirt that says something to that effect. Maybe something like. . . Dutch, the Willy Wonka of Hammock Gear. But I digress.
So, I decided to set up my Superfly on Dutch Stingers with the 12' of Zing-it prefitted. I'm a newb and knots have never been my thing. So stringing this up takes two shakes of a coons tail. Then I staked them down with some "Burly Titanium Hook" stakes also provided by Dutch. After that I used Dutch's Tarp Worms with prefitted Zing-it and loop to quickly latch the sides down. If you are uneasy about how the Tarp Worms work don't be. There isn't a faster or easier system out there IMO. If any of you know of one please share. I do use the Jacks R' Better self-tensioning lines for the panel pulls or to go in porch mode with my trekking poles. It seems to be more efficient than dealing with the Tarp Worms. But again, I'm open to suggestions.
Summary - I haven't come across an easier system for those of us who don't like knots. I'm not even sure if knots could be easier. The Tarp Worms hold and have never popped off in wind gusts of 35 mph. Thanks again to Dutch and sorry to all of those who have read a review similar a thousand times before.
