I have just now started getting into hammocks and I am looking for good places to backpack. I am not very experienced but so far I have went to south mountain and the Harper creek trail. I like trails that are not used as much or don't have as much people. Can anybody help me find some more places?

The Uwharrie National Forest and the Birkhead Mountains Wilderness are right in your backyard. Those would be good for some shake-down hikes to get a feel for hammocks.
+1 for Uwharrie. Lightly used this time of year. Stop by the ranger station and let them know how long you will be there.
