Thanks Gresh, love my woodland camo Dream hammock too!!!!
I switched it from whoopies to cinch buckles a week after i got it, just makes too much sence to make it simple and very fast to set up!

I guess no one told this guy the 30 degree strap angle is before you get in the hammock.
I hope folks don't do the pull the buckles tight then get in and hope for a 30 degree. That is putting a ton of extra force on the trees and the hammock material.
    Other than that good video.

At least it shows that the hammock/material hold up well under increased forces!

There's a whole bunch of people who have never been tree dwellers before that will see that. He cinched that suspension to about 0* though. I put up the hammock hang calculator for him and let him know what will happen when he does that. I hope he doesn't take offense...
We heard it was gonna rain, we came anyway...

there's a lot of "how-to-hammock" vids coming out from guys that aren't, shall i say politely, regular hammockers.

The amount of new hangers have concerened me for quite awhile now, the more people showing up in the woods with hammocks the more the chances are of someone doing something wrong and drawing eyes at us as a whole in a bad light, as i just saw in another thread some guy putting a beginners manual together and his knowledge of hammocking imo leaves alot to be desired.
I guess the best we can do is post when we see misinformation being spread around here and try to steer the new guys in the right direction the best we can.
This forum is a vast wealth of information for everyone old and new to hanging and i think there are enough members here that are passionate enough to post when and where they see incorrect or in accurate info and replace it with what is right!! ,,, as was the case with this guys video, no offense to him,, he was just excited about how easy it was to set up his beautiful new Dream hammock.!

I never thought about judging a man based solely on his knowledge of hammocks.

I've seen other info he's put out and found much of it useful, though not all of it. I'll continue to examine his info periodically. This one is a bit off, he's ventured into things he isn't very aware of. I assume by the comments he's receiving he'll learn a little bit. Doesn't exactly strike me as the kind of man who is afraid to learn.
