    Nice clean solution. Only way to tell if it will make your life easier is to use it for a while.

    I am using an aluminum shepards hook stake cut in two and have them tied to the end of the kevlar straps, but of late I haven't been using them.

    I was thinking about wanting to attach toggles to a strap by cutting a slit in the toggle with a dremmel. Then folding the strap back a little and sewing it such that after it was inserted through the slit, it would not pull back through.

    I just drilled and chamfered a hole in one end and used light shock cord to attach it to the strap... When I roll up the strap for storage I use the shock cord to secure it neatly.
    Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

    I like the dual purpose shock cord idea.
