    New tarp design

Here is a new one I came up with, thanks to the inspiration from "passingthru" I do sell these...

I saw this on ebay a while back. im curious....what made you decide on this design? Im genuinely interested in the shape and why you chose to sew the panels together this way. What do you believe the benefits are to this design as opposed to your typical hex tarp? I see there is no central ridgeline running above you which could be a bit of insurance. Just asking......

Well, it kind of just came to me. I wanted something bigger than a 5xwhatever and smaller than a 10xwhatever. So I cut a piece of 5x8 and just figured three triangles might work so I cut a 3x5 and thought the easiest way to get 4 triangles would be to cut the 3x5 in half, twice. Laid the pieces out and was impressed with what I had come up with. It was just out of the blue. It turns out to be very simple and efficient. I have to say though my biggest seller has been the basic rectangle though...

A lot of seams - not sure I follow what's the deal with all the panels.

There are 3 seams, and they are very short, it's actually less seams lengthwise than rectangular tarp but the seams are not in critical areas like the ridge.

If you put a triangle on the final side it would look like an Ogee tarp.

My normal tarp does have four triangles, this one is a new twist.
