Bugsock vs DL for Mosquito Protection

In the tropics if you loosen your UQ will mosquitos get in and bite you? I they probably can. I'm think about getting a DL just for this but would that make the hammock too stiff I'm only 155lbs, thinking a hyperd XL and a 1.1oz fabric on the outside, what is the weight rating for hyperd XL? or two 1.1oz fabrics from SLD but are they as comfortable as the hyperd XL?

Or maybe a fronkey but is it too close to your face/feet on the sides, like mosquito noises or it actually touching you and getting bit? Can it be tied out or another bugsock with tie outs? or is an integrated net better for this?

I'v been bitten through a DL hammock. No net will keep out the mozzie buzz but if you are touching the net they will deffo get you before long

I prefer a sock type set up for the tropics, proper all around protection. Mine hangs about a foot below the lowest point of the hammock

I've been using a Fronkey since they were first commercially offered. I've never gotten bit and it doesn't hang in my face at all.

You should investigate permethrin if you're really paranoid about mosquitoes. I get ravaged by mosquitoes but with the Fronkey (sprayed with permethrin), no worries.
