Greetings all!
I spent a freezing night in a tent a few months back, and went looking for winter camping tips. Found a YouTube video from a guy camping in -40 (Hi Shug), which I thought was insane. And then discovered he was doing it in a hammock, too. Wow, mind blown.
I already had an ENO DN, just for hanging up at camp. So I've added one of my blue utility tarps and some paracord for a ridge line, and I've hung a couple overnight in my backyard a couple of times since then.
Experimentation is still under way, but I am encouraged thus far.
I set up my hammock last weekend, and a tent for my wife. I've put the hammock up twice and the tent up many times, but the hammock was up in half the time as the tent, and I slept warmer than my wife did.
