I finally had a chance this weekend to make up some new whoopie slings using the black and orange reflective line. It wasn't much different than working with regular amsteel, but I did have to give extra attention to make sure I didn't fray the strands when using the fish wire. I'm very happy how it all turned out and whoopies are holding well after hanging in the basement all weekend.

Dang, I missed the discount code, but somebody posted a link on a Dutchware thread talking about Zing it issues with Fleaz. I accidentally ordered thicker cordage for my new tarp and my fleaz wouldn't work with it, so I was looking for some reflective thin cordage.

Super fast order processing! I think my item was shipped in less than an hour! I can't wait to get it and cut to size for my new guy lines and tested with Dutch Fleaz!

My order of litesmith cordage arrived! My goal was to have reflective guy lines for my tarp that work with Dutch Fleaz. The first set of line that I bought from Dutch works, my second order, I bought some Night Ize from Amazon and it's too thick. The Lawson works, but it's a bit thick too, so the 1.8 Catzye cord was my choice. I haven't setup the tarp with it yet, but I tested it with a flea and it worked nicely. I've cut and tied them to my groundhogs, so I should be ready to rock!

Super fast shipping and they gave me a free mini-chapstick too!

I ordered a set of the fancy bungie cord things too... Hoping to be able to strap my snowshoes to my pack with them and any other random things.

I was finally able to test out my new lines. They are perfect! They light up well and will be a help in avoiding the tripping hazards the scouts seem to find oh so well. (And occasionally me too.)

I used the orange. But still wish they cam in the green to match the tarp. I did put the green shock cord on the new lines for relief if they do jump out and catch the wandering hiker. The shock cord relief also make it much easier to attach the hiking poles for the added room under the tarp.

What is the main difference between the Reflx™ Reflective GuyLine and the CATZYE™ REFLECTIVE HAMMOCK LINE?

Seems like the main difference is the sheath? I assume the Reflx has more stretch in it? Having a hard time deciding what to get for tarp guys.

    Beer,
Reflx has a UHMWPE core and polyester cover (sheath). Reflx will hold knots much better than Catzye because the polyester cover has more friction. Catzye can be spliced, whereas Reflx can't be spliced. Both have very little stretch. Both will work for guylines but if you're going to use knots, I'd go with Reflx.
