I'm interested to hear the results as well. I notice a little bit of wear and wonder how the reflective tacer will hold up. How bad or quickly do things fall apart once the reflector breaks?

It's a mix. I make some products and I resell some products. I think most cottage companies are that way.

I received my order of the 1.8mm Catzye line a couple days ago and was just able to break it out tonight to give it a quick look.

Ordering to ship time was great and this went out the door to me the same day my order was placed.

Although I haven't had a chance to work with it or splice any up yet, I have a very favorable first impression. I ended up ordering the black line with the intention of rigging it up with some hardware from another well known vendor and using it as guylines for a tarp that I'm in the middle of building.

I really liked the idea of having a darker more muted color in the day, but having them light up at night and provide decent visibility to avoid tripping over them. When I first opened the package I thought to myself there was no way this very dark line was going to light up. The tracer/reflective strand didn't jump out in the daylight.
However, after a bit a dark room testing, I stand corrected. The tracer strand really shines in the dark and catches more light than I could have imagined and I would say is completely comparable to a few other reflective lines I've tried.

It has a good feel to it and seems like it will be easily spliced.

I'll try to give a better review once I've had a chance to rig everything up and give it a real test, but I just wanted to say that I'm impressed so far.

Thanks for the product Pete. Was a pleasure doing business with you. Good luck with everything and hope to see Litesmith grow.

I believe we have our answer, if we "read between the lines" that aren't there. One cordage vendor I'm aware of, who has everyone's favorite "Ti guy" manufacturing his titanium goodies, proudly states "Like all of our products these are manufactured........right here in the USA"

Sorry I didn’t reply to that post, but it’s difficult to make a blanket statement because our products have differing countries of manufacture. The hammock line is braided to our design and specifications in China using high-performance UHMWPE fiber made by DSM. We build whoopie slings, hammock ridgelines, and suspension extensions using the line right here in the USA. While we would have liked to have made the line in the US, the US factories were either unwilling to work with our smaller volume or unable to meet our cost targets. It’s a global economy, but we know USA made products is important to lots of you and many of our products are made or assembled in the USA. We’re doing our best to build quality products and use US materials as much as possible.

Just placed my order...don't have a "specific" use for the line, but couldn't pass up the pretty colors! I will *find* a use for it all.
