Figure I'll start the thread. I'll have a report when I get time at my hotel tonight.

Thanks and hats off to the organizers. You couldn't find a better group of folks to hang with. The food Saturday was phenominal. And I think there might have been a fire...

thought I saw a tent too...

First of all, the weather cooperated - we had a low of 17* F on Friday and 24* F on Saturday. So we had great sleeping weather, and if Stalker hadn't forgotten his quilts Friday night, everybody would have been warm!

Some of us took a hike Saturday to Apple Pie Hill, but we only got about 2.5 miles before a wimpier member of our party had to turn back due to unspecified problems probably related to mental health. We looked for Tom Brown's shelter, which Kayak Karl showed me several years ago, but we couldn't find it.

Saturday dinner was heavenly, and Dutch made omelets Sunday morning. While some were worried (I don't know who) about having enough food, I ended up bringing home 10 shrimp-stuffed avocados, a pound of bacon, a dozen eggs, a pound of cheddar cheese, and two lbs. of coffee.

It was exhausting having so much fun, and I napped all this afternoon until my beagle Peanut woke me up at 5 pm and insisted on a walk. It was great seeing all the old veterans of the NJ Winter Hang as well as the noobies, and I look forward to seeing you all next year!

@ SlvrSurfr: I require more information about these shrimp-stuffed avocados. A set of DIY instructions, perhaps?

Want to thank everyone who came down to hang out this weekend. I had a blast as did my kids. My day is starting to get to me so I'm going to keep this short.

This was the fire pit Thursday night

And this was it on Saturday night.

And for those who missed it this morning, the chair finally made it into the pit!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures and stories. Now, it's time for me to head to bed.
