I just got done mowing all the fields yesterday and today. That should cut down on the black flies. I will probably mow them again before this coming weekend.

I did find a nice hollow log while toting out some wood yestiddy. I'll bring it along for the fire so we can have a flame-vornado one night!

Count me in. This will be my first hang.
I have a 12' kayak that Ill bring up.

I have searched the forum for info about group hangs, not sure what to expect.
I'd appreciate any recommendations or links to posts I might have missed.

Just great people, really great food, tellin' lies around the firepit, more food, bacon, learning how you might improve your hang, trying out other folks rigs, bacon-bacon-bacon, and more food... and whatever you bring to the mix.
    Glad you can make it!

    Ciao- Flash

===> Will be great to meet you! This should be a great hang, and looking forward to float/fishing the Saco River!

Anybody else getting excited for this hang? Blowing the dust off my hammock right now! And does anybody feel like this cold wet spring lasted longer than winter? The weather looks great for this weekend?

If you are planning to attend, you might want to grab a cheap over-the-hat bugnet... not sayin' that we have black-flies, but...

Also note: I have just brought it to my own attention [for a second time] that it is NOT a great idea to expectorate while wearing one of the nets

===> Yup. DEET time, for sure! I have one headnet (and a whole bodysuit made of bug netting). I may have to pick-up another headnet or three before I come up, for folks who may never have met the evil beasts!

Also, Ted, I don't have an UQ that will work with a Hennessy (with the slit entrance). I may have a 3/4 length 20° Phoenix around that maybe could be fitted to work.

For those of a poisonous nature, I will bring along a spray bottle of 0.05% permethrin for treating clothes, hats, boots, etc.
