ME > Hammock Home/Burning Man Hang - 20 thru 22 May

I doing the last push for getting the hang area together this coming weekend for the hang on the 20th. If anyone is in the area this weekend or wants to come and hang here this weekend to help out, your more than welcome.
Here is the list of things I will be doing.
Putting together a fire pit
Placement of picnic tables
Going through the wooded area looking for bad trees that need to be gut down
Marking trees that have widow makers in them.
Collecting and cutting firewood and maybe doing some splitting with the wood splitter.
Marking the parking areas.

All- I know the river and I'm happy to lead a float down from Rt302 to the Denmark Bridge on Saturday.... let me know if anybody has interest and I'll go ahead and bring my 'yak along.

Count the wife and I in, I plan to make the trip down from northern Maine after work should arrive Friday night about dark, can't wait to meet everyone.

We would appreciate it if everyone that is going attend this hang would please sigh up on the spreadsheet if you haven't already.
We need a good head could so that we know how many port-a-potties to get.

I went up to "Hammock Home" today to help ATtroll get things going for next weekend's hang. Here's a pano of the site... food and fire in the foreground, and we can hang all along that hillside, down to the left, and back on over-the-top. There are a whole slew of perfect sites.
Rick and his lady have done a wonderful job of clearing out tons of brush, knocking down the widow makers [most of 'em... ALWAYS look up!], opening up paths and roadways.... It is going to be a simply super site for us to hang in for a lot of years to come.

Right now, the weather forecast says that all three days should be pretty nice.
Snaggletooth, Sky and I are definitely planning to float down the Saco river on Saturday, so bring your kayak or canoe if you'd like to join us. [...the water is still a little cold for tubing]

sorry all I had to removed my 2 count from the sign out sheet daughter reminded me that is her prom weekend and she will not let me out of it. I hope all goes well and I will see you all at the next one. Thanks
