If you don't have one, I'd suggest getting a hammock ridgeline - I use a 1.75 mm Zing-It whoopie with a Dutch Ridgeline Biner.

I too have had this same experience. Doze for a couple hours, then up for a few. I am a side sleeper, or stomach sleeper, so being on my back is a learning curve. I can say I have had a couple great nights in a hammock, and some bad ones too. I think that hang angle may be a big part of your problem. I am trying to sort it all out still to find whats best.
You may also try putting your head on the other side (and feet) and see if that makes a difference too. I M head left and feet right.

    Good luck.

I've got a Zing-It ridgeline! I've got to say that since I changed my angles and fine tuned everything I'm doing well. I'd say the only downside to hammocks (if there is one) is that you have to tune everything for comfort. I don't have a problem with this, though. I'm glad I was able to work through this.

That's great to hear. Glad you are sticking with it. The more you fiddle, the easier it gets!
