“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
I made this for myself tho it ends up being about 4 in. Loft in the center and 3 on the ends with grosgrain channel on the sides for primary suspension and some secondary suspension for placement on the hammock body and channels out of the CDT material for the end sinch

Hibbs-a-hangin,
Would it be possible for you to provide some additional details for your quilt builds, especially your red & silver TQ. I grabbed a few throws to copy it (read flattery) being a Buckeye fan and all. Thanks!

If I'm looking at it right, that one is deceptively simple. It has every other stitch on both axis ripped to produce 10x10 quilt sections. He then put zippers 25" up each side and shock cord in a channel along the bottom. Simply zip up the zippers and cinch the cord and it creates the footbox. The extra flap is a plug for the hole in the middle from the cinched cord.
Edit: He also appears to have taken off a 10" section off one side to make the quilt only 50" wide.
Pretty stoked. Just finished this one last night. I think it turned out pretty good and I learned for next time.

This is my first attempt at a double layered top quilt. it staggers the two layers by half a cell and is completely detachable. i actually also built a turtledog stand so i can test this out in my backyard. i have plans for adding a third layer but I'm determined to keep this a no-sew solution.
I also made sure this is seam rippable in the future but I'm going to wait until I find it necessary
I used Kam Snaps to put a footbox in mine. Gosh, I just love kam snaps. I love kam snaps!!!!

I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
I second that! this was one of my first DIY's and it couldn't of been simpler. I checked your video out and it looks like I ended up with a very similar footbox. here's my snap pattern for the two blankets:

Blue - Male Snap Face Up
Purple - Male Snap Face Down
Red - Female Snap Face Up
Green - Female Snap Face Down
Currently this design is for top quilt config only as I use a JRB Hudson River for my under quilt.
