    Tarp Fabric Comparison Chart

We're snowed in today, so I finally had a chance to sit down and put together a tarp/shelter fabric quick comparison chart. With the number of options we have now, this should make it easier to quickly compare everything and weigh the pros/cons of each vs what is most important to you. This will be available on the site here shortly.

I'm also making an accompanying PROS/CONS chart designed to hit the high points for each tarp fabric. Essentially, this is designed to be a summary of what I would tell you if you sent me an email or called in to ask questions before making a selection. That should be done soon.

Hopefully this makes buying DIY and/or making a selection for a professionally made vendor tarp a bit easier. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions please feel free to post here!

P.S. - You may notice that there two MEMBRANE Silpoly fabrics in the chart. Not a typo. Just a yet to be released product .

    Thanks!
    - Kyle

We sure missed you down at HangCon.

Glad your able to use this down time to be productive. Your wares are getting better and better and now more streamlined in presentation.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Yeah sorry I had to end up missing this year too. My gf moved a surgery date a couple times and I just lost track of it. Happened to be the weekend of Hangcon. Looks like I missed a good time!

Nice list! I am just getting started with diy stuff, but I am wondering if you could add another column labelled something like "relative ease of use/sewing"? I see a lot of comments on the forum about this topic. Maybe this is too subjective?

Not too subjective. I'm planning to put things like that into the separate PROS/CONS chart.

Couple questions. 1. On website it says Membrane silpoly is 1.03 oz/sq yard, but you showed .93? And 2. I don't see Membrane silpoly PU4000 on your website?

The Membrane silpoly on the website now is being renamed "Membrane Silpoly PU4000". The 0.93 osy is a new, lighter, all sil version that we will be announcing very soon. This new 0.93 osy will become "Membrane Silpoly".

Clear as mud? This will align the Membrane line with the naming conventions for 1.1 oz Silpoly and 1.1 oz Silpoly PU4000 materials.
