Widest Underquilt that can be bought

    Hello,

Recently me and my friend have gotten into Hammocking, after experiencing one especially cold night last summer we both looked to invest in Underquilts.

We are both kind of on the big side and one issue we ran into with the Greylock3 is that it seems to not really encase us over the shoulder. I have been searching and haven't been able to get anything wider than around 44" I think a 48" wide or wider would be best. Any suggestions? I know the nest by JRB is 48" but there is an opening down the middle for the Hennessey.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!IMG_3789.jpg

I am also very wide. I ordered an underquilt from Hammock Gear and had them add extra width to it. It is a beautifully made underquilt and I would recommend it. I think it was $20 extra for the additional width.

Did you have to call them and speak to someone? or is this an option on their website? I didn't see that.

If you're speaking of the HG I mentioned, call or email them first (email is probably best) and tell them your needs. They will give you a price (It will be $20) and when you order the underquilt you want on their website, you will next click on the custom work order tab and type in what custom work you want and the price they quoted you. It's easy to order, but the first time was a little confusing to figure out how to get it ordered. I've since ordered others without issue now that I know the procedure.
