I don't use a CRL. I have a Dutch Stinger attached to each ridgeline tieout that is spliced to 12ft of zing-it. Around the tree, tighten, latch...super quick and easy.

Lineloc 3 ' s dutch hooks and no CRL. Fast and easy. Back up the Lineloc s with a half hitch and your good to go.
I've always ways used the Derek Hansen-style CRL with 2 biners and a prusik, and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I like the one-side adjust, with the push/pull to center.
Slowly swaying in a hammock is my version of a steady morphine drip, without the risk of renal failure.
At this time I use this setup.
30 ft lash-it
4 prusiks
2 fig 9's
2 small nite ize.

I use a Dutch premade CRL with soft shackles and love it. Super fast to setup and adjust.
The Dutch CRL with Klemheist knots. A little spendy, but seems hard to beat
I used this and it worked great until it got cold and the prussiks jammed on me. I'm back to Derek's setup now.
I was doing a Dutch hook and fleaz on each end of the tarp. I recently just switched back to using wasps for the simplicity. A CRL always seemed more trouble and weight than it was really worth to me. It just goes back to hanging your own hang. There are a million ways to skin the same cat.
