    It really wouldn't, not for lightening. Maybe for something at lower voltage, but lightening can jump quite a considerable gap much larger than the thickness of insulating paint.

    Thanks scarecrw, As you can probably tell, I am no physicist. We may have been looking at different products, but I completely agree, that it would be better to stay indoors. no matter what.
