    Only 5 more months!

We are up there this weekend and off and on this next week. If anyone wants to come by let me know. We are working on a little cabin and hope to get some fun hikes in too.

HA! I just bought 3 pounds of bacon today, I couldn't wait until September. Hope it tides me over. Now, what wine pairs well with bacon…..?

PS: I just ordered a full length 20 deg HG Incubator and TQ that oughta keep me warm.

Perfect TQ & UQ in general! HG is top notch! Wine? A nice spicy Red, like a Zinfandel. A Grenache works, and an un-oaked or lightly oaked Chardonnay. Need that acidity. Any of those will cut through the fat of about any pork, and since pork tends to dry out, a "moister", or "wetter" wine seems best.

I think I'll come to this hang. it's only 7 hours away and I've been wanting to check out the White Mountains so I'll make a week of it. hike the mountains then come to the hang.

OR: Come to the hang and hike the mountains during the day to work off all that food! There will be some of us who are into hiking so save some time for a group hike.

And people are welcome to come days earlier or later and stay on the land. Just let me know when you plan to get there so I can let the neibors know to that we expect campers.

will do. I can't wait. What's the average temp for that time of year up there? Just so I have an idea what to bring. I'm coming from central NY where it's 80 one day and blizzard the next from mid Sept to June haha

Same thing. It could be winterish, it could be warm. Down bt the stream it never gets too hot because the water comes out of the ground really cold no matter the weather.
