Hello hangers

I'm somewhat new to hammock camping, though I've been tent-camping my whole life. Just got a Hennessy Expedition Asym Zip with Snake Skins and a big Monsoon rainfly. I am still working on getting the rest of my gear, most importantly top- and under-quilts. I'm moving from Connecticut to Montana in the next two weeks to work with Montana Conservation Corps, and I think I'm going to be the only one hammock camping! But I tried it once, and can't go back to a tent. Looking forward to connecting with and learning from all of you fine ladies and gents.

Welcome to the forum and to Montana! Montana Conservation Corps does incredible work--it'll be an awesome experience! I am doing a second Americorps term this summer with Montana State Parks- worked with a few MCC crews last summer- so maybe if we are in the same area you won't be the only hammocker.

Not sure why there aren't more hammockers in Montana. Doesn't seem to have caught on.
