I have three HG quilt sets - 0*, 20* and 40* - very happy with their performance.

I have quilts from both, when you pile them side by side or on top of each other, you cant tell which is whos or what ever as both are made to perfection. Either is a great quilt.

I'm tickled with my UGQ quilts but also have one 40* HG TQ and it too is pretty awesome.

There is no right or wrong in making a choice

I'm just glad to be fully quilted out with, as singingcrowsings points out, the CDN $$$ is going for the serious crapper again

I got in just ahead of you ...been a wait for you. Shipping was fast. But with the dollar sinking more your gonna get taxed on the current CDN $ value...yuck.

Something the OP may take into consideration if in a rush is wait times.

That is, if it stops at the border. We shall see. In any case, I ordered when I was absolutely certain of what I wanted, so I feel like it's a good investment, regardless. Feel free if you want to send me your top quilt.

Luckily the OP is in Europe, and yes, wait times differ. My wait was due to an early morning computer glitch that had me ordering on Black Friday at 11:55pm (I was the 4th last on the sale day). Otherwise the wait time for UGQ is quite swift, as far as I can see on their order status page.

Ingels, if you're not too picky about colour, and don't want a custom size like me, I know HG has ready made quilts in stock, which makes it a lot faster, otherwise, I'm pretty sure their turnaround time is similar.

Anyway, I hope all this has helped somewhat.

Let us know what you decide!

Which manufacturer should you people choose and why?
    Thx in advance!

Man I feel for you, I am having the same dilema. I couldn't tell how many times I compared these cottage vendors, and a lot of excellent vendors out there. But I think I finally "like you" narrowed it down to the same 2 vendors. Good luck.

I have HG and Cave Creek Hammock and Outdoor Gear. I love 'em all.

Ok thanks for the replies guys...
I think that it eventually will become UGQ...
It seems they also make excellent material and i get a 10% discount which is very welcome for me since i live in Belgium...
To transport it to Belgium i have to keep in mind that i have to pay 33% extra for custom's fee and import rights...
So if i spend 1000$ it costs me 1333$...
If any other people have information about UGQ and HG i would be happy to hear about it...
    Thanks!
