And we need to extend our thanks to Tom, and everyone at Meadowbrook for putting up with us. If you've been there, make sure you hook them up with reviews on Google, Yelp, and Facebook.

Hope you got a discount on that flag... they made you an upside down one!

Awesome job. Looking forward to this hang, one of my faves.

Sorry to do this but a family party popped up yesterday for the same weekend, a command attendance, so to speak. So we will not be able to attend this year. Hope everybody has a great time and that their will be a fourth Lobster & Lighthouse hang.

So.. I'm happy to say we've got a great raffle lined up so far. I've asked Chaaaz to reach out to a few places on our behalf, so there may be more coming that I don't know about.

I picked up Lighthouseandlobsterhang.com to help keep everyone informed of what is going on. Part of the problem is that attendees, vendors outside of the hammockforums community, and our charity can't see the photos we post here.

I'll still post here with any relevant information, but I'll be making sure the blog stays current.

As of this writing we have confirmed donations from:

    DLT Trading
    Dragon Tail Tenkara
    Dream Hammocks
    Ripstopbytheroll.com
    Terrapin Outfitters
    Underground Quilts
    Warbonnet Outdoors

We do have more places saying they will donate, but currently I don't have confirmation.

Dlttrading.com is where I buy all of my knives and sharpening supplies from, so check them out. As always if you support the vendors above, drop them a note and thank them for supporting us.

Have a great weekend everyone. See you in 7 weeks

I'm just catching up on these threads now, but the hammock looks great!! Such a unique and creative design, and I'm sure Ava's happy to have her own custom hammock! I'll definitely be putting my tickets in for that one at the raffle!

For the raffle this year, we've got some really nice items coming. Some repeat vendors from last year, as well as some new ones.

I've been talking with a number of vendors recently, and one thing that comes up often is the lack of thanks the companies get from both the winners, and the people holding the raffle.

The Lighthouse and Lobster hang last year stood out as different. I sent thank you emails to the vendors when I got items from them, and I know a few people like Chaaz reached out and said thank you for some of the big ticket items. We also took photos of the winners of the big items, and I sent those to the companies or people that donated those items.

This year, I want to go a step further. Here's what I'm thinking: For every vendor who donated, I'll have an addressed and stamped envelope, a sticker, and a piece of paper. The winner, spends 2 minutes and writes out a quick thank you.

    So basically something like this:

For the vendors who donate multiple items, Multiple papers in one envelope

    Thoughts?
I love it! That's a really nice way to show our appreciation for both the vendors and their products.
