I had, what I thought was, a good idea for the SoCal Hangers trip report.

I'm going to start the trip report thread the night before so everybody can post pictures, updates, etc... there as we go through the entire process from packing to heading home.

That way, when people look at the thread they get a better idea of the experience instead of just seeing a few pics here and there and reading a long recap. I've done this with Facebook threads when I go on trips with my buddies and it really works out great.

Many people get cell service at the actual sites, and there is a spot at the next campground over where you can get decent service if you can't get it at camp.

Is this something you guys would be down to participate in?

Now that SoCal Mike isn't going to make it, I was wondering if anybody would be willing to "lead" a hike to Sugarloaf Peak on Saturday morning.

This is what Mike had to say about the hike:

'The trailhead is in the Blue Jay campground next door to where we are staying. Great hike, not very difficult and one of the few hikes in the CNF in this area that has large meadows--pretty unique.'

It would mean you would have to look up the hike and have some idea where you are going.

I'd love to do it myself but I feel like I should be around to help things along at base camp when people arrive.
