The problem is that the surgery is on the 5th and takes some significant recovery. My mother-in-law is coming down to assist but it's likely I will be in-and-out during the course of the event. I live about an hour away so it's not too bad.

My plan is to come up Thursday afternoon and get things set up. It's likely I won't be able to spend the night but we'll see how it goes.

Saturday I will leave early in the morning to check in at home and should be back up there by 10:30.

Pedro and Mike will be able to handle organizational stuff in my occasional absence.
Wow, you have been facing some challenges this year. I appreciate how you are keeping the organization of this event going! I'm looking forward to this. I'll be bringing my dutch oven for some type of desert for the pot luck.

Less than a week away. I'm planning on attending Friday afternoon thru Sunday. If anybody needs a ride from the Orange County area let me know. I'm in Laguna Hills and will be driving an SUV with plenty of room. I will be out of town next week until Friday morning so best to PM me here.

Remember to bring a knife if you want to participate in th fire making demo Sat afternoon. I'll bring knife sharpening stones with me for those of you owning stubborn to sharpen less than cooperative blades.

Looking forward to the event. See ya next week.
