    Thoughts on My Tarp Plan?

I was wanting to make one of these winter tarps from "polycryo", but it turns out the window kit I bought only has enough material for a smaller tarp. What I'm planning to do is make a hex tarp with a 10' ridgeline and 5' short sides and then use the two leftover triangles of material to make a beak on one side only. When I set up, I'll put the beak toward the more windward side. Does anyone have ideas for a shape that would offer better coverage, given the limited material? I was hoping to squeeze two hammocks under if possible.

ETA: The window film is 62" x 210".

How long is your hammock? If it's enough length for your hammock, I'd say go for it.

Personally, I always like to make the ridgeline 11' just to make sure I don't get wet..

My hammock's 10.5', which means a RL of about 8.7'. That leaves a little shy of 11" worth of overhang on each end.

I think I'm going to go back to the store and get the bigger window kit, the 10 window version. Either that, or another 5 window kit. Thanks for the input!
