Where to get down for stuffing a UQ?

I am thinking about making a super stuffed UQ or TQ. Where is the best place to get down stuffing? The first idea I had was going to a rummage sale and picking up a handful of down-filled pillows. Is this the same kind of down that is used for insulation? Seems like a cheap way. A second option would be old down jackets, but that seems like more work.
Doctors should prescribe hammocks for stress relief

Not as cheap as harvesting from sale items, but high quality guaranteed. Order from Marty at Wilderness Logics. Buy it by the lb. Or in 1 oz bags.

Downlinens.com sells by the pound but at a great price.
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.

You can usually find a coupon code for anywhere from 10-20% off too. No idea on how their down compares to other companies though.

Sometimes you can find end of the year closeouts on discontinued sleeping bags and such at REI and other retailers.

My DIY UQ down came from a repurposed down comforter off of CL. Enough 750fp for a full length UQ for $30.

I imagine the best place to get down stuffing would be from a goose. Not sure how happy he will be about it though.

I picked up a Bloomingdale's MyLuxe pillow on ebay for $50. Got nearly 20oz of 800fp down out of it. You *could* use any kind of down, but lower quality will be heavier and have more feathers to prick through your fabric.
