About 10 years ago, I went to a sea kayak symposium and someone had strung up an ENO hammock under a second floor deck. I got in it for a while, decided this was really nice, and bought one upon returning home. I've used it on kayak breaks ever since. Not really an overnight camper, don't expect I will be, maybe one day, but thanks to the Shug's videos, I have discovered there is life beyond my ENO double nest which is developing many small tears.
I learned about whoopie slings made from some string called Amsteel, and a guy named Dutch, so I got me some of the line, some Dutch Biners, straps and toggles, made some slings, and I have minimized the load in my day hatch considerably. Whoopie slings are about the most amazing thing I've seen since sliced bread. I want these to hurry up and wear out so I can make some more. Got me an 11' netless Hexon 1.6, came the other day, rigged it with the amsteel continuous loops and I am hanging happy.
Probably won't be a prolific poster, but looking forward to lots of good reading and learning.
