Whoopie slings can get stuck when used as tarp ridgeline. Redoleary has videos of tarp ridgeline with UCR. UCR can be loosened as long as it is not in a loop--if made into a loop form
It can get stuck too. As long as UCR can be bumped loose at prusik end-it can loosen. This is not a common suspension--I'm guessing there have been some tarps let down during night with UCR--just guessing.
Avoid whoopie slings as tarp ridgeline at all times. Feel free to experiment--Hike Your Own Hike--and have fun out there!

Instead of the MSH in the middle of the whoopie, just toggle the loop in the end of the whoopie to the end loop/ring of the tarp.

I don't see how that changes the problem of releasing the whoopie when it's under tension.

It looks like, to me, remove toggle and it is disconnected and now have no tension on whoopie sling. Not saying it's my favorite tarp suspension--might have trouble getting line tight when setting up. wa4chq has solved problem of whoopie sling getting stuck-provided you can remove toggle under tension.
I looked at this a while back and tied quick release knots to tree--Siberian or Farrimond friction hitch and then tightened whoopie sling--for takedown pull cord on Siberian or Farrimond friction hitch and no tension on whoopie-as it's off the tree.
I had trouble tightening whoopie on initial setup--so my ridgeline sagged too much for me. Good luck and have fun out there.

I know for sure that for me, it would get old really fast popping the toggle and dropping the tarp on the ground with each adjustment. So far I'm stickin' with a Dutch crl with mini-ucr's in place of prusik's. "Mini-ucr-crl". Simple is as simple does...er..huh?
