new years day at the I&M canal

if i get out of work early enough tomorrow im gonna take a ride to see trail conditions, but im thinking its time for the pulk, ill post what i find when i get home.

I'm also wondering if the flooding is affecting the trail or the site.

And, for one more question (at present) - is the water at the campsite accessible year-round? (Other than the river/canal.)

We always carry in our own water. It would take a lot of flooding to affect the site

there is a well at mc kinley woods, which is a few blocks away, but ya dont know if its frozen yet or not, and i have always filtered thew well water too.

i did a drive by near the canal, it doesnt look like theres enough snow for a sled, ya may be able to bike in, but im going to hike in. the lower lot at mc kinley has been closed for the season, but if ya like , you can park in the upper lot and walk down to drop off water, wood or what ever to our campsite. i will be there sometime tomorrow morning.

I don't think I'm going to try biking in.

I may try the parking closer to drop off stuff idea, though.

Hoping to be there late morning/early afternoon.
