I geeraly just like the way it looks. if its a choice ill take it whe i buy stuff
Personally I have worn camouflage to bowhunt. But I never incorporated into my every day life. I also don't say deploy when I hang my tarp or put on rain gear.
I just go with green and browns.

My camo gear decisions ultimately came down to simple aesthetic preferences and them being less obnoxious (my opinion only), versus a bright neon setup, when out in nature.
Although my almost entire Multicam setup is much less visible than a bright orange setup, I'm not one who buys into it being so well hidden that everyone will walk past it without ever seeing it. Yes it is more concealed, but camo doesn't make you invisible
I find muted/earth toned color options more pleasing than bright colors and I prefer camo over simple greens, blacks and browns.
Once I started with a Multicam piece, my OCD kicked in and every single item had to match.
I like the woodland camo, in the pine forest I think the breakup pattern works better for me when I am disperse camping in the SHNF, Texas. I know I am not invisible but you will have to take a second look to see me. I agree with Eidson I also have a bad ocd problem.
I like my setup in earth tones, not because I'm trying to hide but because I don't want to seem out of place. There is a difference. I'm not opposed to camo, but unless you are 50+ yards away you're going to see it anyway.
Some of the camo patterns have a regular repeat that looks jarring to me (particularly on tarps). They draw the eye to the pattern, sort of like one of those magic eye things. I would rather have a solid color tarp than one with a repeating pattern.
I've gone with bright colors, because some of the areas I hammock camp allows for hunting and alas, I don't wanna get shot.
I like to go with grays, browns and other drab colors. I do have one camo DIY hammock, because the material was on sale. I do have a couple of snazzy hammocks; one in red and one in blue/purple (color looks different depending on the lighting, blue or purple)
