Love my S2S Aeros. Expensive but it's 2.8 oz., small to pack, soft and easy to adjust the amount of air pressure. I use it both on ground and in a hammock with different air pressure.

I've used stuff sacks, home made half pillows and other solutions but the Aeros is pure luxury.

I've never used a pillow, but I might try it out.

I have been using a pillow for some time in my hammock in the house. At first, I liked it, but after a while I noticed with my head elevated, even a little bit, made my lower back hurt a little bit. I went back to sleeping with out one and it felt better. All though my hair will stick straight up in the morning on the left side. So I tried to sleep with a sock cap last night and no hammock hair.

Feel the exact same way. If one is going to go with a pillow, even using a stuff sack, why not be as comfortable as possible while still being weight conscious. S2S Aeros matches the needs.

    Donna,

Thank you for the link! I did see the pillowcase hat. I'm gonna let the wife make the call on that one, and I know she wants to try out a pillow. I'll keep this in mind and forward the link to her as well.

WOOHOO! Glad to hear we are next on the schedule. Thank you.

I must admit... The pillowcase hat is an interesting concept. I love creative solutions and multipurposed items.

I have to have a neck pillow. I've used rolled up cloths when I forgot it, but it's not the same. Mine has a bunch of small beads or something like that in it. It stays in place nicely even if I don't use the snap in front.

Sometimes yes sometimes no. I've got a clothing bag from Zpacks that has fleece on one side. I'll just stuff extra clothes in there and be fine. But if I'm going slow I'll pack this little Koppen camping pillow I got years ago. That thing is unbelievably soft and comfy.
