The last 24 hours brought 24 new inches of the lovely white stuff to the Mountain!!! That gives us 153 inches of snow to date on the the Berg!

Time to tune up the pulk sleds and get out the snow anchors folks! It's Cascade Hanger weather!

I may just do this. Been wanting to do a winter hang. May need gear suggestions, as I am a fair weather hanger for the most part. Keeping warm is obviously preferred. I have no underquilt, nor poles to hang with. Still flip flopping, but thinking about it.

Snow anchors? That's one piece of gear I don't have. Maybe I could use a bunch of sticks or potty trowels or whatever...

I prefer sticks! Pull out your cord and leave 'em buried.

    +1 on the stick idea
So much easier.. and cheaper than anchors...
Good news is that we have the snow to even talk about it.. Yippee!

OK.. so last year we had 20 hangers at the Yeti Hang. We had a Super time!
I think with the snow have this year.. we should have more hangers come out.
We should be able to beat last years number.. heck.. if they can do it in Minnesota we can do it here in Oregon!
Last years hangers... Picture courtesy of BigFoot.
