Ready for 2nd AnnualU.P. Frozen Butt Hang...assuming there is one

For a while now I have been wanting to clear out a place in my little copse of trees to make room for a winter tarp so I can hang in my back yard. Finally got around to it today when I got summoned for jury duty but didn't get selected! Now I just need that new Zeppelin 0 degree I ordered from UGQ and I will be all set!

Last year Lonetracker, Snipen, and CamoEvo broke me into winter camping at the first annual Upper Peninsula frozen butt hang. I took quite a bit of advice, and this year I will be much more prepared!

I hope you guys have a 2nd annual hang too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but if the selected date is right, I aim to try making it UP there.

Where in da' UP was da' 1st hang dare, eh?
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Yep. Somewhat near Ralph, very close to the Dickinson County border. Lonetracker, a member here on the forum, knows this area better than I know my backyard, from what I can tell after spending the weekend with him. He picked out a very nice, very secluded, very beautiful area. I think he kept it west since there were two of us right in Iron Mountain, and another (Snipen) who used to live in the area but moved across the Wisconsin Border. The fourth guy came down from Ontanogan, if I remember correctly. It would be a long haul from downstate, but about the same as a trip to the Porkies, if it is still in this area. I would be fine moving it east, though, if there was significant interest from any Trolls!

Let's do this. I'am ready if anyone else is interested... I'm in Gwinn proper and I might be able to rustle up a few other people.
    Hanging out in da UP.

I would be up for it. I might not be available until March, though. A couple of guys from downstate were saying the same thing. How does March look?
