I'm glad you guys made it home safe. It's a shame that no one else could make that trip with you guys. Thompson Creek has some of the most historic sites to me in Bankhead. From early Native Americans to pioneers settlers and even moonshiners the history is there. It just that's lots of exploring and sore feet to find what's left behind from times pass. A little help from that book don't hurt either. I hope you guys got to crawl though the eyes needle while you where there. That's a nice spot for a lunch break looking down on Sipsey river.

It's right at ship rock if my memory serves me right. You go through the middle of that big campsite at ship rock and climb up and go through. You got to take your pack off and scoot it through the hole. You still got lots to see if you go back.

I guess sometimes the blindest ones are those that just can't see what's right in front of them- we camped at Ship Rock.

Thanks for traipsing along at my "short leg" pace, Campalot. I really enjoyed testing my gear in the rain and being able to determine if what was in my pack was a need or not. It was pretty cool running into other hammockers out there, unfortunately, I missed Flumox because of my sleepyhead status. Maybe next time?

On my way out, I did find the trail down to Kinlock falls, so now I know I can find that on my own.

And thanks, again, SlowWanderer, for my suspension door prize @ the Fall Group Hang. It really makes things work much better.
