Hobe,
Water is pretty reliable at Zaleski year round, the Hope Furnace parking area probably makes the most sense for most hike and there is more than adequate parking at that time of year. I'm probably available any weekend in January.

Right now I am pretty open in January except for maybe the first weekend

I can hang on the 22nd and 29th. Zaleski is fine with me, but really anywhere works for my schedule. I can't stay over on Saturdays, but Thursday night is a possibility if anyone wants to meet earlier. Heck, if the weather stays like this, I may need to come early to claim us a spot!
The only weekend in January for me is the 8th. I am happy going anywhere.
You are welcome to come hang with us down in Florida in January for HangCon. If you can't make it that far, at least get out there somewhere closer to home. Never miss a chance to hang with friends or make new ones!

Thanks for the invite, looked up the thread for HangCon, sounds like a great time. Actually, I will be in Jupiter Florida for work during thous first two days, but I don't think my training schedule will allow the time for a six hour round trip to come up and visit you all, wish I could!

Those guys are right about parking at the trailhead. If the actual trailhead lot is full, and I think it's probably about 10 cars too, there is additional parking across the street for the hope furnace. Parking should not be a problem, especially this time of the year.
Tough to call this one. The way I have it figured, it's sort of a toss up. I'm gonna make the call for the 22nd at Zaleski. That will give us one more weekend in case something goes awry! Anyone who can't make that date, use the chart and maybe you can find a partner for another date.

The 22nd sounds great. Really appreciate you taking the lead to plan this out Hobo. What campsite would everyone be interested in. Camp C is a little under 2 miles in, while Camp D is a little over 6 miles in. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other, just want to hang.
Hobo, to be clear, my first and last two weeks of January are at this time open and available. But my on call work schedule for 2016 has not yet been posted. Since I have had on call this passed holiday week, I think I'll be good til mid February. That said Murphy's Law is always in effect and though a lack of planing on there part dose not necessarily constitute an emergency on my part, they due help me pay my bills.
In short the 22nd or 29th are more likely for me to make it to southern Ohio.
I hope to see all you guys early and often next year!
Doug
