Wow guys!
Tumbleweed I'll get some pics up for you on the bike kit. Somewhere in past trip vids I think I spelled most of it out except the new system of getting the 'house' down on the forks.
Stinga, the new Caldera's weight allows me to also carry the Firebox Nano 2 (Ti) and have the best of many worlds with little little weight.
Roche- brilliant 'the New River'. Bones get on it
KSC thank you very much.
TwoTrees very funny and the Clynch was a fantastic trip----worth repeating!
TallPaul it was a wonderful campsite---love the pines and soft ground just in case. It felt very 'owly' but never heard a one. We both racked up 12 hours in the hammies
And the saving grace was having 3 Hadrons of all things with us, can't say how that happened....another Roching!
Klauss you touch me. We'll we've not stopped, just a lot of travel. I got a photography bug bad and it became an obsession. As far as hiking anymore I've got to be smart=shorter distances,
as lightweight as possible.
Knees. Well they suck. Some days more than others. I just ain't gonna be 18 ever again. Flat ground is sweet. Steps are like ice picks. So what can I do-->bike and paddle with a smart hike
here and there. It got me down for a long time. It's something I did for decades. Roche has heard me whine about it and told me to bow up! It's not like I didn't have my fair chance.
On that integral top quilt. I'd be happy with 3 simple clips (cool clips, something Dutch would make), one at the bottom and one on each side; me the no net hammocker.
