    Same trip I took! Slogging out in what started as rain and ended as 2ft of snow convinced me never to do it again! Well, convinced me at the time.... lately I've been thinking of doing an R2R. Amazing how a little time changes a miserable ending into just a good story!
    Haven't had a chance to check out the video (at work), but I will tonight.

    Yeah, we lucked out with the weather. It turned to -15F just after we left! Yeah, funny how it is the toughest trips that are always the most memorable, true that!

    Great video Kurt, the canyon is on my list of hikes to do. The desert Southwest is a hidden gem, is it better to do this in the fall or early spring. Thanks Jim

    The weather is better in Fall or early Spring, but it is more difficult to get a permit then because everyone else wants to go then too. The Canyon is least busy December-February, with the exception of the week between Xmas and New Years which is one of the busiest.

    It is not as hard as people make it out to be. We didn't overdo the mileage on any given day, I think that's the key. Thanks for watching!
