    Hammock Hot Tent

Quick Video walk around of my Hot Tent I built using Canvas drop cloths specifically to hang the hammock in complete with the a Seek outside Ti wood stove. Been testing it all out for the last several nights to see how it all works...so far works great. And no I do not feed the stove all night...no sleep in that.
Got to figure out a closure system for the doors...for now one piece clothespins work great it seems and need to add more sod cloth/tarp to the bottom of ends/doors.

Been a fun build and so it continues the testing and mods.

Nice job bkrgi! I use a Seek Outside Ti XL stove in my Smokehouse hammock shelter. I also use the same chair but in green. Ha Ha!
Do you ever have trouble regulating the heat. One time I was having issues keeping it under 90! Finally got the intake/damper combo down.

Yah heat regulation is a bit up and down more due to adding wood and that sucks heat away till it gets going......the Ti gives up its heat very quickly.

The new air damper and flue damper do work very very very well giving lots of control options on the fire. The build quality is first rate....but that's what we expect from cottage vendors.
I also have 8' of the Ti pipe and it draws exceptionally well....when roaring you can make 5' of the pipe glow...hahhaa
I was adding 20*c to the inside temp (center of shelter about 4.5' off the deck) but consider I am on decking and the doors where not fully sealed down.
Figure on filling the stove every hr.....plus minus.
Tis Fun playing with it all .....like being a kid again...oh wait never did really grow up...haha

Looking good. I got some heavy duty zippers from an upholstery place for the ends of my shelter. Have you thought about running the pipe out the top of the side wall on a 45 degree? . Keeps the embers/sparks from landing on the top of the shelter.

Got the drop cloth canvas at the Local Home Hardware here in Canada (Stain Pro is the name on the package....better than the Home Depot brand stuff)

Don't think I have to worry about sparks.....between the spark arrestor and the 8' of pipe I figure a spark if it gets that far, it will cool before plummeting to the canvas...after a 12hr burn time over a few days there has been no inkling of a spark escaping the pipe.

Keep an eye on your spark arrester as they have a tendency to clog up

Agreed....this one is right in the heat of the fire (in the flue damper piece which sits in the stove hole) and that should and seems to keep the soot burned off(was white with ash dust, not black with creosote). Having the arrester on the top of the pipe is asking for a quick clog.

How do lighter fabric tarp tents fair with wood stove, or is canvas the way to go cause it's thicker and holds in the heat better?
