What the heck? Sunday delivery?

So I've been watching the progress of my package on USPS.com and noticed it got to the local post office this morning, Sunday, at 10 am. I was super excited for receiving it in tomorrow's mail. Well, it just got dropped off at my front door at 6pm on a Sunday. I didn't get to the door to see who dropped it off or why but my mailman doesn't even come this time of day during the week let alone on a Sunday. I'm super curious about why it got delivered to me today.

Not that I'm complaining! 0 degree top quilt here I come! Maybe I'll even haul it out to the trail to test it tonight.

I got something last weekend on a Sunday from Amazon via USPS. Thought it was weird too. Holidays?

I've had package deliveries on Sundays the last couple years around Christmas too. Not regular mail, but packages.

My burrow came today also. On a Sunday? The mailman dropped it off. I expected it tomorrow. It's a 40 degree +2 burrow. It looks very nice but it's so light that i don't see how it will keep me warm. I can't wait to try it out.

USPS has been doing limited Sunday delivery of non-priority packages since 2013: https://www.uspsoig.gov/blog/no-more...ckage-delivery. Apparently now also have a special contract with Amazon as well.
