    Pillow under legs anyone?

How many out there use a pillow under the knees to eliminate the calf ridge and hyper extension of the knee? I find i need one but i don't like packing extra stuff so any alternate solutions out there?

I toss clothing I'm not wearing to bed under my knees. No added weight, bulk or anything to inflate.

I used a stuff sack with clothes until I got a 1.6 11' hexon hammock from Dutch. For me the calf ridge disappeared in this hammock. Before I ordered I ask some Dutch some questions and in his reply he concluded by saying "you'll love it". He was right. It's the lightest and most comfortable hammock I've tried. Never had a problem with hyper extension.

Could it be not enough sag in your hang? Try loosening up your suspesion just a touch till you have some slack in the ridgeline. Your calf ridge pressure may be less or dissapear.

This is what I do. I have never experienced any calf ridge, but I need something for my right leg to avoid hyperextension. With something under my knees, I pass right out.
Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!

I lay more or less on the center line, only angled enough that my legs from the knees down kind of dangle over the other side, like being in a recliner. After I get in, I angle myself until I feel my feet drop down. I don't like a flat lay, I like my head up. I'll probably order an Amok eventually...

I like the pillow under my knees. Not so much for the calf ridge, but definitely helps with the hyper extension thing.
